Topshop's Christmas press day

'Velvet Goldmine, you stroke me like the rain'...clearly Topshop's design team have been watching Ewan Macgregor macking (ahem) Jonathan Rhys Meyers on a rooftop cos their Christmas press day was the most perfect 90s take on the 70s. Think tarty dreamshoes in velvet and perspex.


Or Lurex rainbow-striped hotpants.


Purple and gold feather gilets (I hate the word 'gilet' but what else would you call this - a 'jerkin'?)


Metallic grey lightning bolt laser-cut leather skater skirts.


Or Ziggy spike-heeled velvet boots.


So not normally me, but I'm smitten - must be my inner Bowie coming out. What do you think?
