In what now seems like a previous life, I went to Primavera Festival in Barcelona last week, watching one of those very special line-ups that included everyone from
Low to
tUnE-YarDs,
Pulp to
Caribou,
Warpaint to
Ty Segall,
Suicide to new Costa Rican garage rock girlband
Las Robertas. You know when you see so many bands that it makes you dizzy? Yeah, that. Apart from gyrating happily to Pulp playing Pink Glove like it was 1994, it's all a fuzz of gorgeous noise and I'm still trying to remember who I saw and really loved. Great stage photos
here though.
Apart from that, we ate... (Barceloneta Bombas at a tapas bar right down by the sea)
...and drank... (a litre of sangria with my talented chum
Laura Hernando, who took these shots)
...and enjoyed one of the world's loveliest cities.
I've written about my favourite Barcelonian bars and vintage shops
here.
