Two comp Wednesday: Dujour's cover contest

A lovely US magazine dedicated to independent designers, personal passions and some really gorgeous photography, Dujour magazine's always been about reader power.



This month, you can even decide which of these five beautiful shots they should pick as their next cover:

I'm going with 'Romance' just because these pictures are so damn pretty.

  1. Pic 3 is definitely the winner for me too... I loved the Virgin Suicides.

    I have to say that 'Romance' is a very safe bet for the theme - all that lace, soft-focus lens work and sweet young things definitely leaves a romantic, lingering perfume in its wake.

    Only other themes I can think of would be 'Pretty,' 'Summer' or 'Dreamy' (Or variations on those!). But I think you're probably right on with Romance.

  2. Romance seems a winner. I love Pic 2 - channeling Lady Gaga in a good way. Think I'm going to go with 'lace' as the theme!

  3. I immediately thought that the theme was purity because of the light colours and dream type exposures...

    I'd choose picture number one. I like that the model is not completely exposed and there's an element of mystery...

  6. wow, please tell me this magazine at least used some black models/brunette girls.... white and blonde doesn't have to always equal 'romantic' or 'summery'.
