Yes, yes, Amoeba on Sunset Boulevard is just a big record store...



... but that's kind of missing the point.



It's the biggest independent record store in the world, and has the kind of devoted employees that make Rough Trade's experts look like exports from HMV in King's Lynn.



I think I did quite well in my ten-minute trolley dash. No Dum Dum Girls (the album came out the day after) but a few albums I love and don't own. Beach House; Coconut Records; She & Him; Charlotte Gainsbourg.
